‘Bull**** Factory!’ Jim Acosta Slams Fox News, Ignores Own History Of Pushing Misinformation

On a segment discussing misinformation on Saturday, CNN Newsroom weekend anchor Jim Acosta described Fox News as a “bull**** factory.”

Referencing the story published by the New York Post, which falsely claimed that copies of a children’s book written by Kamala Harris were given to migrant children as part of a “welcome kit,” Acosta criticized Fox News for supposedly misreporting stories on Joe Biden and Harris.

“That tale from the border didn’t just border on B.S., this was USDA Grade-A bull****,” Acosta said. “And the [New York Post] reporter who wrote the story resigned, claiming she was forced to make it up. But the damage was done, pumped out over the airwaves at the bull**** factory also known as Fox News.”

According to Real Clear Politics, Acosta said that “What’s really sad is that even prominent Republicans are still repeating this even after the story was debunked,” and that “The top House Republican, Kevin McCarthy repeated the lie on FOX News after Biden’s speech to Congress.”

“Lies, big lies can have terrible consequences. Just four months ago we all witnessed the fallout about the Big Lie about the election — and it should’ve served as a lesson on how lies can kill,” the CNN anchor said.

On April 27, The New York Times reported that “the Post reporter who wrote the original article said she had resigned from the paper because of ‘an incorrect story I was ordered to write,’ describing the episode as ‘my breaking point.’”

Leftists rushed to celebrate Acosta’s use of the word, “bull****,” with Mediaite writing that Acosta “pwned” Fox News.

“Reporter and now CNN show host Jim Acosta totally pwned Fox News Channel on Saturday when he said ‘bull****’ twice during a segment on disinformation and conspiracy theories,” Mediaite reported, adding that Acosta “also got in a sick burn on Tucker Carlson, whom he referred to as ‘Fox News’s Doctor of Disinformation.’”

While Acosta’s level of self-regard is almost legendary, critics will note that his comments are not without irony. As Fox News reported in July 2020, “CNN’s chief anti-Trump reporter Jim Acosta was blasted on social media over a tweet that quoted White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany out of context.”

On the subject of children returning to schools in the midst of a COVID-19 shutdown, McEnany said, “The science should not stand in the way of this, but as Dr. Scott Atlas said — I thought this was a good quote, ‘Of course, we can do it. Everyone else in the Western world, our peer nations are doing it. We are the outlier here,’” McEnany said, quoting the former Stanford Medical Center neurology chief.”

“The science is very clear on this. For example, you look at the JAMA pediatric study of 46 pediatric hospitals in North America that said the risk of critical illness from COVID is far less for children than the seasonal flu. The science is on our side here. We encourage localities and states to just simply follow the science. Open our schools,” she continued.

However, Acosta ignored this context by claiming that McEnany simply said “The science should not stand in the way of this.”
