Beto bounced after heckling during press conference – Bearing Arms

Beto O’Rourke has never met a statewide office in Texas he couldn’t lose a campaign for. He ran for Senate, then president, and now he’s got his eyes set on the governor’s mansion in Texas.

As a vehement gun control advocate, it’s not surprising to see O’Rourke politicize the tragedy that unfolded in Uvalde, Texas.

However, his latest stunt sets a new low. (Language warning)

Failed candidate Robert Francis “Beto” O’Rourke was forcibly removed after making a scene at a press conference held by Gov. Greg Abbott in Uvalde, Texas, site of the horrific mass shooting at Robb Elementary School. The obnoxious Democrat, who is running against Abbott in Texas’s upcoming gubernatorial election, was immediately denounced by Uvalde mayor Don McLaughlin as a “sick son of a bitch” for attempting to make a “political issue” out of the tragedy.

O’Rourke is attempting to achieve the rare trifecta of political failure by launching unsuccessful campaigns for governor, president, and U.S. senator. Prior to being ejected from the event, O’Rourke accosted the legislators on stage, insisting that the tragic deaths of 19 children were “on you.” McLaughlin shot back as law enforcement officers were escorting O’Rourke out of the building. “It’s on assholes like you,” he shouted.

So yeah, that happened.

However, not everyone disagreed with Beto on this one.

Of course, many on Twitter challenged Scarborough to outline precisely which gun laws were gutted that allowed this tragedy, but with no reply.

Mostly because no matter how much rhetoric people like Scarborough and Beto spew, it’s simply not true.

Yes, Abbott oversaw an expansion of gun rights, but none of those laws actually made it possible for this killer to carry out this deadly attack.

What they’re most upset with is that Abbott didn’t have some kind of foresight and push to enact laws well ahead of time. He was supposed to use some kind of clairvoyance to know this exact thing was happening and make it simply not happen.

In fairness, they wouldn’t put it quite that way, but really, that’s all gun control advocacy is about. They expect us to prevent the black swan-type event by infringing on the rights of people who were never going to do anything wrong.

That is what Beto is screaming about. That’s why he made an ass of himself during a press conference discussing the murder of 20 people, 19 of which were children.

Look, if this is how Beto wants to roll, that’s on him.

But I don’t ever want to hear a word about “decorum” from people like him or Scarborough ever again. I don’t want to hear them talk about not politicizing a tragedy or any of that.

This wasn’t a political event. This was a press conference to discuss what we know about a horrible event. It’s the one time we should be able to put politics aside for a few minutes and let things happen.

Only Beto was a whiny, spoiled brat and had to make the story about him.

It’s a pathetic attempt at headlines and little more.

I don’t expect Beto to play nice. It’s a political campaign, for crying out loud, and politics is a contact sport. I fully expect him to politicize Uvalde and try to pivot Texas toward embracing gun control. That’s how this works.

But I do expect him to at least pretend to be a decent human being and wait until the press conference is over before showing his butt.

Of course, that’s clearly too much to hope for when dealing with the soon-to-be three-time loser.  Instead, he’ll continue to act like a jackwagon.

Then again, this is really par for the course from the gun control crowd.
