Powerful Photos From Riots Shows What Does and Does Not Protect Businesses From Destruction – RedState

Despite the mainstream media’s best efforts over the last year to portray Antifa/Black Lives Matter-led riots as “peaceful protests,” it’s obvious by watching any random video on social media from the various scenes that what typically takes place doesn’t come anywhere close to approaching “peaceful” let alone a “protest.”

As we reported earlier, the same ol’ song and dance played out yet again in the midst of the overnight chaos that occurred for the second night in a row in Brooklyn Center, MN in response to the officer-involved shooting death of 20-year-old Daunte Wright, who was shot and killed Sunday during what was reportedly a routine traffic stop in what police are now saying was an “accidental shooting.”

Some reporters on the scene including those from CNN and MSNBC portrayed angry “protesters” who went off on expletive-filled rants while the cameras rolled as feeling understandable rage. MSNBC anchor Rachel Maddow sympathized with the rioters by talking about the “rawness and anger” that they must feel.

But as I said this morning, though there is no doubt that many in the city feel raw and angry — especially after hearing police say that the officer who fired the fatal shot (Kim Potter) meant to use her taser and not her gun, burning down buildings, destroying entire city blocks, etc. isn’t going to do anybody any good.

That is especially true for any rioter/looter who tries to destroy a private business that so happens to have an armed civilian on standby to protect their property. As you can see from the videos and photos below, taken by Townhall.com’s Julio Rosas, the places that were most safe from rioters and looters in Brooklyn Center were those that had security on the scene to ward off anyone even thinking about targeting their stores. On the other hand, some of those that had no protection did not fare so well:

Also, one tactic we’ve seen tried (and fail) time and time again is for a “woke” business to virtue signal about how they’re against racism and support the black community. As the photo below shows, this is not in any way, shape or form a deterrent to rioters hellbent on causing maximum damage:

It’s interesting to see what does and does not stop violent “protesters” from destroying the livelihoods of others, isn’t it?

Similar stands against Antifa/BLM-led lawlessness were made last year in Minneapolis and other Democrat-run cities as well after business owners decided that enough was enough. Those businesses, too, were left alone.
