One of the foreseeable disasters from the Afghanistan debacle that has the Biden bunch rattled is the whole “women and girls” issue.
The feminist left and assorted do-gooders decided that it would be a wonderful idea to send outsider radical feminists into Afghanistan and set about creating a program of educating and empowering women and girls.
Before we go further and the goons at Mediaite or Media Matters start befouling themselves, let me be very clear. I’m married. I have three kids, two of them daughters. I want them to have every sane and Christian benefit our society can offer. From an economic point of view, a nation with minimal human capital should make teaching girls a priority so they can pass the education along to their children. Having said that, the United States is not Afghanistan. You can’t go into a traditional society based on a misogynistic religion, upset the status quo, and not expect blowback. To the people behind this atrocity, it was all just fun and games. You know, “fight the patriarchy.” Apparently, not even five seconds of contemplative time was devoted to thinking about what happens when we leave, and the force of US arms no longer keeps the doors of the school houses for girls open or the school in one piece.
The Taliban have been pretty clear in their intent.
In first press conference in Kabul after taking power, the Taliban said they will give a general amnesty to all Afghan govt workers – that woman will be given all rights accorded to them under Islamic Sharia law, and that media will be free to operate but within bounds of Sharia pic.twitter.com/Sb5VGndYbm

The Biden regime has been on the ball.
🇺🇸 Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield says U.S. expressed “in no uncertain terms” at the United Nations through “a very strongly worded press statement” from the Security Council that “we expect the Taliban to respect women’s rights” and “to be respectful of humanitarian law.” pic.twitter.com/32TEyRFu4O

My colleague Sister Toldjah has more on the US effort to get the UN to protest the treatment of women in the strongest terms here: Here’s How That Biden Admin/United Nations Demand for the Taliban to Respect Women’s Rights Is Going.
While this tomfoolery was going on at the UN, Anthony Blinken, part of the national security brain trust Winken, Blinken, and Nod, was up to even more self-parody on his own account. The State Department issued this strongly-worded statement on White House stationery, thereby making it more brave and bold than it already was.

Look at who signed on to this statement: Albania, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, European Union, Honduras, Guatemala, North Macedonia, New Zealand, Norway, Paraguay, Senegal, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States of America.
Note that none of our Middle Eastern partners bothered to sign. Not even Mexico signed it.
Next, I suppose we’ll see some idiot hashtag campaign on Instagram.
A few days ago, a State Department functionary named Molly Montgomery tweeted then immediately deleted this:

This sort of summarizes the grand “women and girls” experiment in Afghanistan. The women and girls were used as lab rats in a cruel and callous social science experiment that required Afghan society to uprooted and remade into something you’d find on New York’s Upper West Side for it to succeed. The women and girls who believed the cant and thought it was possible that they weren’t going to live their lives in Afghanistan were just as much victims of this nonsense as they will be of the society that rejects what they attempted. Montgomery and her like never had skin in the game, never risked anything, and never had to consider the consequences.
Right now, the Biden White House is covering its tracks with sternly worded and never-to-be-read letters to a regime that neither fears nor respects the United States. Within a week or so, you won’t see any more of the “women and girls” stories because they never mattered in the first place.
